Details
The multi-story stupa made of metal during the Goryeo Dynasty is a good reference for studying the style of wooden architecture of the time. Depending on the size, a small stupa was sometimes enclosed in a pagoda as part of a Buddhist reliquary, and larger stupas are presumed to have been used as Buddhist articles in the Buddha hall or as sarira stupas. At the corners of the first floor of this small stupa stand statues of the four devas.
